Our engineers have extensive commercial seismic design experience, which we draw on to accommodate project designs that do not conform to BCBC 2012 Part 9 restrictions. We have used this approach to successfully deliver single family home projects throughout Victoria while maintaining construction details that are both conventional and cost effective. Skyline Engineering has recently completed several small residential houses utilizing the design ideals for Passive House construction. These projects utilize special wall and foundation systems to develop continuous insulated envelope for the building. This approach helps to achieve energy conservation through efficiency in thermal losses as well as solar gains. Skyline worked closely with the various project design teams to develop efficient and economic details.
